Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Worksheet Geek ("Worksheet Geek," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit worksheetgeek.com or use the Worksheet Geek service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, Google and our authentication provider, Supabase, may provide and store information such as your email address, name, profile information, provider identifier, and a unique account identifier.
Worksheet request information. You may submit a grade level, subject, resource type, topic, learning goal, lesson notes, class profile, difficulty, question types, question count, and related generation preferences. This information is sent to OpenAI to generate the requested resource. Do not include student names, contact information, health information, disability information, education records, or other sensitive personal information in these fields.
Usage and generation records. We store your user identifier, generations used, maximum allowed generations, reset time, account creation time, and premium status. For each generation, we may store the resource type, grade level, subject, topic, number of questions, generation time, user identifier, and creation time. We do not intentionally store the generated worksheet or full lesson notes in our application database.
Waitlist information. If you join the premium waitlist, we store your user identifier, email address, and the time you joined.
Technical and service information. Our hosting, authentication, and security providers may automatically process information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, requested pages, referral information, and diagnostic or security logs.
Analytics information. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the Service is used. It may collect page views, visited URLs or routes, timestamps, referrers, filtered query parameters, approximate geographic location, browser and operating-system information, device type, and analytics script version. Vercel provides this information to us in aggregated form and states that its Web Analytics product does not associate analytics records with an identifiable individual or store an end user's IP address.
2. How We Use Information
- Authenticate users and maintain signed-in sessions.
- Generate and display classroom resources.
- Apply free or premium usage limits.
- Operate and manage the premium waitlist.
- Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
- Measure page traffic, referrals, and general usage trends.
- Prevent fraud, misuse, abuse, and security incidents.
- Communicate with you about support or service changes.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we process personal information as needed to provide the Service or take steps at your request, for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, with your consent where required, and to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time, but this does not affect processing already completed.
4. How We Share Information
We may share information with the following service providers:
- Google for Google sign-in and externally hosted fonts.
- Supabase for authentication, session management, and database hosting.
- OpenAI to process worksheet requests and generate content.
- Vercel for website hosting, delivery, operational logs, and privacy-focused web analytics.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use personal information for targeted advertising.
5. Cookies and Browser Storage
Worksheet Geek does not currently use advertising cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which Vercel states does not use cookies. Vercel generates a temporary hash from an incoming request to distinguish visitors for aggregated statistics; Vercel states that this hash cannot be used to identify visitors across different websites or days and is discarded after 24 hours.
Supabase stores authentication session information in your browser's local storage so you can remain signed in. Google and Supabase may use cookies on their own domains during the sign-in process. Our hosting providers may also use strictly necessary technologies for security and service delivery.
You can clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may sign you out or affect Service functionality. If we introduce advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies, we will update this Policy and provide consent controls where required.
6. Payments and Stripe
Worksheet Geek does not currently process payments and does not currently use Stripe. If paid features are introduced, payment information may be collected directly by Stripe or another payment provider. We will update this Policy before launching payment processing. We do not intend to store complete payment card numbers on our servers.
7. Data Retention
We retain account, usage, waitlist, and generation metadata for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Service, administer accounts, enforce usage limits, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and maintain appropriate business records. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable law.
You may request deletion by emailing us. We may retain limited information where required by law, needed for security or fraud prevention, or contained in backups that are deleted through normal backup cycles.
8. International Data Transfers
Worksheet Geek and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States and Canada. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms or contractual protections.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision regarding a privacy request. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy or data protection authority.
Residents of jurisdictions with applicable US state privacy laws, including California, may have additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, and certain disclosures. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Residents of Canada may also have rights under PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy laws.
To submit a request, email worksheetgeek@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for teachers, tutors, parents, and other adults and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law, must not create accounts or provide personal information through the Service.
Educators and other users must not submit personally identifiable information about students. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
11. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may link to or rely on third-party services. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this Policy. We encourage you to review their policies.
13. Terms of Service
Your access to and use of Worksheet Geek is also governed by our Terms of Service.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
